I'll probably be the only woman to respond here, but as a fighter myself I have a lot more knowledge on the topic than most women. And I've never been to prison but I spent a lot of time there, having started a creative writing program for incarcerated youth facing life sentences in Los Angeles. I know exactly what you're talking about and it rings true. I also raised my sons as a single mother on the mean streets of LA suburbia and I have some stories to tell. Plus, I started the one and only boxing club for girls in Luxor, Egypt and faced some dangerous situations.

So, having said all that, let me say I love this! There will be a reckoning for Andrew Tate and his brother, I have no doubt of that. They are sleazy, cowardly men without honor.

As for Candice Owens, I once admired her. Now I despise her. What a fool.

I'm a woman with the nerdiest of street cred - I grew up a schoolgirl in a neighborhood run by gangbangers and then took martial arts in college - and I loved every word of this post (and your comment).

Expand full comment

Very cool! I trust the gangbangers more than the elites who run the real gangs and who start charities to "help" them.

Expand full comment

I hear that! I gave up a leftist view to fund government to "help" the poor a long time ago.

The gangbangers at school excluded me socially - thereby protecting me - by labeling me a schoolgirl. And they made others leave me alone too.

But now I'm rejected by the college educated too. Thank god for online communities LOL.

This is a little off topic, but you made me think of it. The story of the girl that was a boxer winning titles and choose to transition to a man. Her first fight as a man she was knocked out in 21 seconds. People say she could have been a champion as a woman. Can't remember her name at the moment. Thoughts on that?

Expand full comment

Funny you should say that because I just wrote about him

"As a female boxer (a real woman), I couldn’t help but be interested in this story.

"Here we have Patricio Manuel, a woman, who fights professionally in men’s boxing. "https://khmezek.substack.com/p/trans-male-boxer-knocked-out-in-first

Expand full comment

Funny these dynamics going on. Men that can't win against other men are competing against women and winning. This woman could do well against women and decided to compete against men. You can change the wrapper, but not biology. She messed herself up if she wants to go back to female boxing as well with the transformation. She should be worried about her health. With that muscle mass, the heart is a muscle as well. The drugs she took to put it on don't decide to leave the heart alone. I guarantee her heart is enlarged now. Create issues that weren't needed for attention?

Expand full comment

It is a mental illness but they try to convince people it's perfectly normal. And we are all supposed to accept it or we are the crazy ones lol.

This 'trans' fighter lost but, if you read my article about it, the worst parti of it is they wiped the knock out from the internet. So it's like it never happened. The level of control over the internet, over what information we can and cannot see, is scary. We are constantly being manipulated/conditioned/brainwashed.

The people behind the trans movement are very powerful. They are turning people like Manuel into lifelong slaves of Big Pharma. It's really evil.

Expand full comment

Are you a genetic or neuroscientist? Or perhaps a psychiatrist who specializes in the transgender phenomena? If not, then you should not make pronouncements that it is a mental illness.

Do you deny & make fun of humans with other birth defects? Things like cerebral palsy, Down’s Syndrome, huge dark strawberry birthmarks on their faces?

I recently read a scientific article, where neuroscientists think they MAY have found a small area of the brain, near the amygdala, that seems to correlate with transgenderism. So perhaps it would be a good thing to reserve judgement for a medical birth condition that medical science hasn’t totally figured out yet??

Those first 2 conditions that I named were once thought to be possession by the devil or other demons & those children were either outcast or most likely murdered.

There is just no reason to demonize something just because we don’t understand what causes it.

Trans people have existed for centuries, with varying degrees of tolerance or oppression. They only appear to be more numerous now because at least some in society have decided to be more tolerant of a condition we may not understand, but have decided they deserve to live. Just like most people agree that people with Down’s Syndrome have value & deserve to live.

I think you presented a very fair and informative argument. I also agree with you….

Talk about a polarizing subject!

Expand full comment

I agree. They are trying to control with the proper usage of pronouns as well. I refuse to do it. A kid in NC just got kicked out of school for using improper pronouns. They are starting young so they can brainwash the children. I saw that they had removed it from the internet. Her big name sponsor probably didn't want to be embarrassed.

Expand full comment

Information on the Internet is controlled. We are inundated with "information" but it is controlled by the algorithms and so it ends up being certain information repeated over and over, like brainwashing. I hold onto old books, old dictionaries because they are trying to disappear knowledge and replace it with information and the two are not the same.

Another woman here. I love reading Coleman’s Substack even though (or perhaps because) it is of a world far from my own life.

I also once admired Candice Owens but no longer do. I’m not quite know what happened there. Like Tate, she still right about some things, but then everything else she says is way off, even delusional.

Expand full comment

Oh, I know what happened to Owens. It's what happens to everyone who gets a little fame and fortune and power. They become corrupted. They want more and more. The other disturbing thing is that her husband is best friends with one of the Tate brothers so that right there tells me everything I need to know about the kind of man her husband must be. If she can defend that friendship she has lost her moral compass. She has lied to herself and denied the truth and she's now living in her own prison of lies. I wrote about this in my last essay Is Lauren Sanchez the 'Ideal' Western Woman? https://open.substack.com/pub/khmezek/p/is-lauren-sanchez-the-ideal-western

Thank you. I don't teach them now. It was years ago. It got cool in Hollywood and some powerful people got involved. We didn't see eye to eye and I left. But I remained friends with some of my students. And the program is still going on today. It's called InsideOUT Writers. I got out of Egypt during the pandemic. I started writing about all the crazy stuff going on now.

I had to Google him. Blowhards like this have always existed in some form, social media just amplifies him. How much have you got to hate yourself to pay this guy $8,000 to make you a Bro? Personally I think a beat down only increases his cred, even if he loses. Unless you make him cry. So please, make him cry.

I've been a single dad and helped my second wife raise her three kids. Parenting's a lot tougher job than either kickboxing or bullshitting, with MUCH longer hours. I have absolutely no respect for men who father a bunch of kids, are never around for them, and then brag about how they spread their seed.

They deserve "that guy." And any Expanse reference gets a big recommend from me.

"I immediately lost my head as if this faker had been government designed specifically to antagonize me." ~ that line hooked me in good and proper. I would say you nailed the truth there. He is government designed to antagonise us ALL, even the LGBTQsters. Andrew Tate is the perfect distraction squirrel. Real men don't have heroes. They have busy lives and responsibilities. Only soy boys and wannabes with single digit IQs and teenage temperament would be impressed by the Tate persona.

I just loved the way you push real men, real dads and real husbands up onto the higher moral ground. Thank you, my late husband would have nodded sagely and smiled at your truth.... he would have wanted to confront Tate with a tyre too!

Thanks. Not because you’d smash his face very satisfactorily (I despise that poseur - and here’s an old word - degenerate) but because you’re an actual role model, a good father, husband.

I have wondered what you thought about Andrew Tate, because I - a wife, mother and grandmother - think he's one of the most disgusting pieces of shit on the planet.

And to all the little incels who worship him I want to say if he's so smart why doesn't he even have the power to leave Romania?

The game here is the false path for boys that is the Pied Piper to Doom. Remember the Pied Piper has a basis in the confidence game of the Children’s Crusade.

Tate is a setup.

He’s worse than a Pimp.

He’s got Op misinformation pimping all over him… not that I know. I don’t. Just antenna. He ain’t real.

OTOH Toxic Masculinity rebound. women made this very easy by chasing the Fathers out and Feminist culture and education constantly shitting on boys and calling masculinity toxic. It’s healthy not toxic. My point here is the confidence game of feminism is being flipped on women and there’s a lot of fatherless boys who are angry- especially if the mother sent him packing. What went round goes back round at the women now.

Want to do same with Fauci…. I am 70….145 with burrito in gut.. fast as hell….lets go

Expand full comment

Trust me. There’s plenty of us who think Tater is nothing more than a soggy burrito with shades. Part of the problem is the advent of hyperfemininism and the demonization of men for being men. This created a sess pool of noodle-necked soy boys that lack testosterone who joined the hyperfeminism movement to attract women who desire such moldy doormats to walk on. Tate is the unofficial hero to these boys who seek the meaning of manhood. But he simply compounds the problem because these sugar bear Gumby characters then turn into CW channel petty junior high hood pigeons. Tate boys end up overly sensitive, quickly triggered and highly offended from estrogen overload. Everywhere they go they then must find a method of overcompensation to “feel manly”.

I gotta say that this is one of the funniest, and most awesome essays you've written so far Coleman. I about busted my gut laughing, and loved how you tore the schmuck apart.

I grew up poor, yet can say that everyone in the neighborhood looked out for one another, so that though it was a 'French-Irish' or 'French-italian' (French being the main language of that part of town I grew up in (once upon a time)), it was apparently one of the safest poor parts of my hometown around. I suck in a fight, and tend to be on the shy side, but having grown up with a stepdad like Tate (the same sort of obsession with his looks, ridiculous obsession with knocking up random chicks and being narcissistic), I can say that it took me less than a second when I first saw a video with him in it, to see my steppops and just shook my head. Maybe in a way, it's a mercy his kids don't have to grow up with him, as he'd only poison them, and now they'll have a chance in life without some dick-head ruining them.

It takes more than money to be a good man, or an impressive one. It takes strength, courage, loyalty and honour as you pointed out Coleman. Good on you, massive respect to you here.
